DevOps Engineer

They are seeking a DevOps Engineer to develop, launch, and support the DevOps pipeline operations, ensuring the stable use of departmental tools and automation processes. Responsibilities Help perform tasks related to Linux system administrator with experience in security / information assurance and mitigation for Government customers Support configuration, administration, and management of system deployments provided to customers Support CMMC Compliance, auditing, configuration management, and NIST controls Support integration, deployment, and testing of software to customer sites Assist in the determination of technical standards and specifications and leads the design, build and support of shared services platform and components Provides professional support services and/or the integration of their respective products Supports the design, maintenance, development, and evaluation of all internal IT tool systems, services, and DevOps systems and processes Frequently interacts with customers and/or functional peer group managers, normally involving matters between functional areas, other company divisions or units, or customers and the company Skills US Citizenship required You must currently hold, or be able to obtain at minimum, a Secret level (preferably TS/SCI) security clearance Bachelor's degree in Science, Technology, Engineering or Math (STEM) is required or equivalent combination of education, training, and experience Minimum 0 - 2 years of work experience managing diverse DevOps operations, and tools Knowledge of Linux server administration, specifically RHEL 7+ and Ubuntu Hybrid / on-site work β some development and system administration can be performed remotely over VPN, but some tasks (especially work with classified systems / data) require access to secure lab space Travel may be required (hard to estimate but around 10-20%) to support integration and testing at customer sites β typically CONUS only Work with integrity, dedication, creativity, fairness, and assertiveness while motivating teams to perform at a high level Demonstrates competency in contributing to strategic planning of infrastructure requirements in support of business growth objectives Strong technical knowledge of current network hardware, protocols, and standards Demonstrates strong interpersonal, leadership and communication (verbal and written) skills Champions the process of change and promotes a culture of quick adaptation while helping others deal with the effects of change Demonstrates the ability to develop and maintain internal and external trusting, professional relationships Ability to work in an office environment (Constant) Required to sit and stand for long periods; talk, hear, and use hands and fingers to operate a computer and telephone keyboard (Frequent) This position requires access to information that is subject to compliance with the International Traffic Arms Regulations (βITARβ) and/or the Export Administration Regulations (βEARβ) Certifications in networking, security, and related areas Experience with IT automation tools such as Ansible Experience with Python and similar scripting languages Experience with the Authority to Operate (ATO) / Interim Authority to Test (IATT) process including STIGs and software scans Benefits Medical Dental vision 401K with company matching A 9/80 work schedule A paid holiday shutdown Company Overview At AV, we build shoulder-to-shoulder with our customers, delivering systems shaped by real-world missions, not theoretical requirements.
