Developer Relations Marketing Lead
About the position
The Developer Relations Marketing Lead at IBM is responsible for developing and executing comprehensive marketing strategies aimed at enhancing developer engagement and adoption of IBM's platform. This hybrid role requires a blend of technical knowledge, marketing expertise, and community leadership to effectively connect with developer communities and drive the success of AI/ML-focused products.
Responsibilities
ā¢ Develop and execute comprehensive developer marketing strategies that align with business objectives and developer journey needs

ā¢ Act as core SME in the optimization of developer-focused content, including technical documentation, tutorials, sample code, and thought leadership materials
,
ā¢ Build and maintain relationships with key developer communities, influencers, and technical decision-makers
,
ā¢ Design and implement metrics-driven programs to increase developer adoption, engagement, and retention
,
ā¢ Collaborate with product, engineering, and marketing teams to ensure consistent messaging and technical accuracy
,
ā¢ Support execution of developer-focused events, workshops, and webinars
,
ā¢ Work with a team of developer advocates and technical content creators
,
ā¢ Track and analyze program metrics to optimize performance and demonstrate ROI
Requirements
ā¢ 3+ years of experience in developer relations, developer marketing, or technical marketing roles
,
ā¢ Proven track record of building and scaling developer programs at a technology company
,
ā¢ Strong technical background with hands-on software development experience
,
ā¢ Excellence in both written and verbal technical communication
,
ā¢ Deep understanding of developer ecosystems, tools, and communities
Nice-to-haves
ā¢ Experience in user journey mapping and persona development
,
ā¢ Familiarity with agile methodologies and product development lifecycles
,
ā¢ Knowledge of the AI ecosystem and global developer communities
,
ā¢ Experience with marketing automation and analytics tools
,
ā¢ Bachelor's degree in computer science, Engineering, or related technical field; MBA is a plus
