The Role:Fidessa Corporation seeks a Developer in Jersey City, NJ. Key Responsibilities: Utilize in-depth knowledge of computer systems engineering and data structures to design software, write technical documentation, define software test plans, and plan and execute reasonable timelines for software development projects.Responsible for developing high-quality software that is accurate and efficient, primarily using C++ on UNIX-based platforms.Gathering business requirements and translating them into technical specifications. Design, develop, test, and deploy software applications. Responsible for writing test notes and documentation in support of software development and running unit and integration tests of internal software. Monitor the performance of Fidessa software components and provide recommendations for system improvements, as well as develop and test application revisions as necessary. Responsible for system maintenance, including identifying, troubleshooting, debugging, and remediating software malfunctions and other issues with our complex software. Identify opportunities and recommend changes regarding software system development and maintenance standards. Provide expertise in software development to internal teams with the goal of designing and implementing software components that meet complex business and technical objectives. Required Skills, Experience, and Qualifications: Employer will accept a Bachelor's degree in Computer Science, or related technical field, and 1 year of work experience in job offered, or in a computer-related occupation. Additional Information Salary Range:The estimated salary range is $124,500 to $130,000 per year. Salary is negotiable depending on experience and skills.
