About Path

Path is a wayfinding, signage, and environmental graphics consultancy focused on experience-based navigation. We work in complex, high-profile environments where clarity, coordination, and execution matter.

Our work connects strategy, design, and implementation. We help clients align stakeholders, navigate operational complexity, and deliver intuitive wayfinding systems that perform in the real world.

Signage and wayfinding are not just part of what we do. They are our focus.

The Role

Path is seeking a Designer with approximately 5 to 8 years of experience to support the development and delivery of signage, wayfinding, and environmental graphics systems across a range of clients and project types.

This is a design role focused on the built environment. You will apply graphic and/or industrial design to create systems that function clearly, consistently, and at scale. Work spans concept through implementation, including strategy, design, documentation, and coordination.

You will work closely with internal project teams and leadership to develop solutions. Coordination with architects, consultants, and stakeholders will be supported as needed, but the primary focus of this role is design, systems development, and documentation.

• Develop solutions from concept through implementation, including strategy, guidelines, and documentation
• Create sign families, messaging, and location plans that support clear, intuitive navigation
• Produce accurate, organized, and buildable documentation aligned with design intent
• Support team coordination and implementation efforts while maintaining consistency and attention to detail
• Contribute to internal team materials as needed, including presentations, diagrams, and visual communications
• Work within a collaborative, flexible team environment that values strong relationships, clear communication, and genuinely enjoying the work we do

Qualifications
Required
• 4+ years in graphic, industrial, signage, environmental graphics, wayfinding, or related design
• Strong fundamentals in layout, typography, hierarchy, and systems thinking
• Experience with design documentation and structured drawing sets
• Experience developing message schedules, sign types, and/or location plans
• Proficiency in Adobe Creative Suite (Illustrator, InDesign, Photoshop)
• Strong organization and attention to detail
• Ability to manage multiple priorities and collaborate across teams
• Understanding of scale, proportion, and the built environment

Preferred
• Familiarity with CAD, Revit, SketchUp, or similar tools
• Experience in large, complex environments (aviation, healthcare, civic, etc.)
• Knowledge of materials, fabrication, and installation
• Experience coordinating with fabricators or reviewing shop drawings
• Experience developing signage and wayfinding guidelines

What You’ll Gain
• Opportunity to design systems that are built and used at scale
• Close collaboration with leadership and visibility into decision-making
• Growth within a specialized and in-demand area of design

Why Path
• Work on high-impact projects in high-visibility environments
• Be part of a small, experienced team where your role truly matters
• Gain exposure to the full project lifecycle, not just one phase
• Join a culture that values accountability, integrity, trust, and clear communication
• Be supported by a team that respects your time, supports your wellbeing, and follows through
