Designer
Zed is looking for an exceptionally technical designer to help us build the world's most advanced code editor.In this role, you will:Work directly in Rust source code and collaborate with a small team of application engineers to implement features that make developers more productive- Improve Zed's design system to make application development more efficient while keeping Zed's UI beautiful and consistent- Help shape the product roadmap and build a strong vision for the next generation in developer tooling
We'd love to hear from you if:You love code and understand developer tools- You enjoy working in a code editor as much as you do in Figma- You're detail-oriented and have great taste- You enjoy operating on the bleeding edge, work well with ambiguity, and ship- You have 5+ years of professional experience in a design or front-end development role- You are excited to learn Rust and get your hands dirty creating interfaces in Zed's custom-built UI framework, GPUI
