Learn more about what makes MDOC a Gold-Level Veteran Friendly Employer here. • *OPEN TO CURRENT MDOC EMPLOYEES ONLY** This position manages facility based In Reach staff, including Institutional Parole Agents (IPA’s) and Reentry Facility Coordinators at selected correctional facilities statewide including the Special Alternative to Incarceration facilities. The In Reach section is responsible for developing a reentry plan for individuals designated by the Parole Board as having identified risks and needs that must be addressed for successful return to society. In Reach staff also provide case management for all individuals that receive positive parole action. This position will provide guidance and oversight into the planning of facility-based reentry workshops designed to provide information on the services available post release. In addition to supervising In Reach staff, this position will provide technical assistance and training around prisoner reentry to partnering state agencies, department staff, community agencies, and the public. View job specification here. View position description here. Education Possession of a bachelor's degree in any major. Experience Four years of professional experience, including two years equivalent to the experienced (P11) level or one year equivalent to the advanced (12) level. • Advanced written and verbal communication skills. • Training and group facilitation experience. • Advanced community organizational skills. • Knowledge and experience of special needs populations including but not limited to male and female offenders, people with alcohol and drug addictions or mentally illness. • Ability to plan, direct and coordinate programs and administrative activities of a complex nature. • Knowledge of data systems and the internet. • Research skills. • Knowledge of evidence-based practices for reducing offender risk • Please attach a cover letter and resume'.
