The Dental Sales Executive (DSE) at Cigna Healthcare is a pivotal role designed to lead the market for dental and vision products within the Florida region, specifically targeting the Middle Market Buyer Group. This position encompasses a wide range of responsibilities, including market strategy development, new business acquisition, client retention, training and coaching, and product expertise. The DSE is expected to achieve all assigned membership and profitability goals within their designated territory, which requires a strong sales orientation and the ability to influence others effectively. The role demands a high level of personal credibility and expertise in delivering Cigna's dental and vision products, as well as the capacity to understand and communicate complex product features and advantages in a rapidly changing market environment. In terms of market strategy, the DSE will utilize insights into customer needs and the competitive landscape to collaborate with the Dental and Vision Organization. This includes developing and implementing both short and long-term sales strategies, focusing on brokers and consultants, and creating an individual business plan aimed at profitable membership growth. The DSE will act as a liaison between the sales team and the Dental and Vision Organization, ensuring that all information needs are met and that resources are allocated effectively. Sales responsibilities include meeting or exceeding new business goals, maintaining visibility among brokers and consultants, and promoting the Dental Value Proposition. The DSE will work closely with the Cigna Healthcare sales team to maximize new business opportunities and develop a comprehensive upsell strategy in consultation with Client Managers. Additionally, the DSE will be responsible for training and coaching, ensuring that the sales team is well-versed in Cigna Dental's products and capable of effectively delivering the Dental Value Proposition to clients and partners.

Responsibilities
• Develop and implement short and long-term sales strategies for the local market.

• Assume responsibility for overall market results, balancing membership needs and profit levers.

• Operate as the liaison between the market's sales team and the Dental and Vision Organization.

• Meet or exceed new business goals for assigned territory.

• Maintain visibility among brokers/consultants and promote the Dental Value Proposition.

• Work with the Cigna Healthcare sales team to maximize new business opportunities.

• Develop and execute a comprehensive Dental upsell strategy in consultation with Client Managers.

• Provide dental updates and training to Cigna Healthcare sales partners, Producers, and Clients.

• Promote new dental products and features through coaching and training.

Requirements
• College Degree or equivalent related experience.
,
• 2+ years' experience in Dental benefits highly preferred.
,
• Proven healthcare experience is required; managed dental sales experience is strongly preferred.
,
• Ability to work independently in a complex environment requiring real-time judgment and discretion.
,
• Strong analytical skills, common sense, decisiveness, and assertiveness.

• Excellent communication, customer service, and sales negotiation skills.

• Financial savvy with a membership growth orientation.

• Strong interpersonal, communication, and negotiation skills, including public speaking and writing.
