We are currently seeking a part-time, fixed-term teaching faculty member in Oral and Maxillofacial Pathology to join our esteemed team. About the Role We are looking for a highly qualified and experienced dental professional to fill a part-time, fixed-term teaching faculty position in Oral and Maxillofacial Pathology. As a Teaching Assistant Professor or Teaching Associate Professor in the Department of Surgical Sciences, you will play a vital role in shaping the educational experience of our predoctoral dental students and residents. Your primary responsibilities will include: Providing instruction in Oral and Maxillofacial Pathology, general pathology, and pathophysiology to predoctoral dental students and residents in didactic and seminar settings Developing and delivering engaging lectures, seminars, and laboratory sessions Assessing student knowledge and understanding through various evaluation methods Contributing to the development of curriculum and educational materials Participating in departmental and school-wide meetings and events Requirements and Qualifications Minimum Qualifications: DMD, DDS, or equivalent degree Completion of an advanced education program in Oral and Maxillofacial Pathology accredited by the Commission on Dental Accreditation (CODA) Five years of experience in teaching Oral and Maxillofacial Pathology within a predoctoral dental and/or advanced dental education program accredited by CODA Preferred Qualifications: Diplomate status with the American Board of Oral Maxillofacial Pathology Experience in teaching and curriculum development Strong communication and interpersonal skills What We Offer At ECU, we value our employees and strive to create a supportive and inclusive work environment.
