If you’re passionate about oral health, enjoy educating patients, and thrive in a collaborative setting, !For a full job description, please send an e-mail to [email protected] Duties:· Perform preventive dental care, including cleanings (scaling and polishing) and fluoride application.· Take and interpret digital dental radiographs.· Review and update patient medical/dental histories and document findings in electronic health records.· Conduct oral health assessments and cancer screenings.· Educate patient on oral hygiene, nutrition, tobacco use, and dental procedures.· Maintain compliance with OSHA protocols and infection control standards.· Collaborate with dentists and assist in diagnosis and treatment planning.· Support the training and education of dental and pre-doctoral students.· Maintain licensure, CPR certification, and stay current with professional developments.· Demonstrate knowledge of esthetic procedures such as tooth whitening.· Perform additional tasks as assigned by the supervising dentist.· Maintain effective relationships with staff, students, and patients.College of Dentistry – Periodontics (Iowa City, IA)Salary: $63,334.40 - $79,168* to commensurate (SEIU Pay Grade: 06)• Advanced starting rate may be possible based on qualifications/experience.Schedule: 32-40 hours/week to be determined, Monday – Friday, 8:00am – 5:00pmMay require occasional overtime.Work Location: On-SiteREQUIRES:· Bachelor of Science degree with an emphasis in Dental Hygiene or equivalent is required.· License to practice dental hygiene in the State of Iowa is required.· Local anesthesia permit issued by the State of Iowa is required.· Hygienists administering nitrous oxide must meet educational criteria in accordance with the rules of the Iowa Board of Dental Examiners.· Excellent written and verbal communication skills are required.DESIRABLE:· Proficient working with electronic health records.APPLICATION DETAILS:In order to be considered for an interview, applicants must upload a Resume (and mark as “Relevant File”) to their submission.
