Dental Hygiene Instructor RDH (Didactic and Clinical)

Instruct and monitor students in the Dental Hygiene Program in a classroom and clinical setting in accordance with the curriculum standards and objectives. Position: Dental Hygiene Instructor Location: Albuquerque, New Mexico Compensation: $31.00 - $38.75 per hour Position Summary The Dental Hygiene Instructor is responsible for delivering high-quality instruction in accordance with the prescribed curriculum and academic standards. This role serves to educate and mentor students in the Dental Hygiene program, ensuring their preparedness for professional practice. The ideal candidate will possess substantial clinical experience, a commitment to academic excellence, and a dedication to student development. Key Responsibilities • Prepare and deliver didactic and/or clinical instruction based on approved course objectives. • Develop and implement daily lesson plans that align with program competencies. • Evaluate student performance, maintain accurate academic records, and submit grades in accordance with institutional policies. • Monitor student attendance and academic progress, providing remediation and counseling as necessary. • Collaborate with Program Directors and faculty to support curriculum development and program effectiveness. • Uphold academic policies and ensure adherence to professional standards within the learning environment. • Participate in faculty meetings, institutional committees, and professional development activities as required. Minimum Qualifications • Baccalaureate degree from an institution accredited by a recognized regional or national accrediting agency. • Graduate of a Dental Hygiene program accredited by the Commission on Dental Accreditation. • Three (3) years of full-time clinical experience as a licensed Dental Hygienist or Dentist. • Current, unencumbered license, certification, or credential as required by state and federal regulations to practice in the Dental Hygiene field. • Documented proficiency in educational methodology consistent with teaching assignments. • Demonstrated verbal and written communication skills. • Competency in Microsoft Office applications and general computer literacy.
