Job Summary:
Teach classes in classrooms, labs, clinical, and online settings, as well as participate in campus and student activities
Prepare lesson plans, instruct classes, and assess student performance
Maintain a classroom environment conducive to learning and provide regular feedback to students
Stay informed of current standards related to instructional methodology and participate in ongoing faculty and professional development activities
Responsibilities:
Instruct classes as assigned and prepare for classes by organizing and becoming familiar with student material
Objectively assess students for academic performance and effectively organize and present subject matter to students
Maintain a professional, enthusiastic, and positive attitude, contributing to a positive campus culture
Participate in and document ongoing faculty and professional development activities, including Continuing Education Units (CEUs) as required
Requirements:
Graduate of a program accredited by the Commission on Dental Accreditation
Associate degree in Dental Hygiene required, Bachelor's degree preferred
Current dental hygiene license and minimum of four years clinical experience as a hygienist
Current CPR card issued by AHA and prior teaching experience preferred
