Dental Assistant/Receptionist

About the position We are in search of an experienced and personable dental assistant and front desk receptionist to add to our growing team. We are an established PPO/FFS private practice, with 2 locations in the greater Philadelphia area. Our office is patient-focused and centered on providing the best clinical outcomes for our patients. The role combines both clinical and administrative responsibilities, ensuring that our patients receive the highest level of care and service. As a dental assistant, you will be involved in four-handed dentistry, assisting the dentist during procedures, and performing various tasks to ensure the treatment rooms are prepared and maintained according to the highest standards of infection control. You will also be responsible for taking intraoral x-rays, fabricating temporary crowns, and utilizing advanced scanning technology such as the iTero/Prime scan scanner. As a front desk receptionist, you will be the first point of contact for our patients, welcoming them into the office and handling inquiries. You will schedule patient appointments and assist in the everyday activities that help the office run smoothly. This dual role requires strong organizational skills, excellent communication abilities, and proficiency in dental insurance billing and practice management software. The ideal candidate will be able to manage both clinical and administrative tasks efficiently, contributing to a positive patient experience and a well-functioning office environment. Responsibilities ? Perform four-handed dentistry and provide clinical support to the dentist. , ? Take intraoral x-rays and assist in the fabrication of temporary crowns. , ? Utilize iTero/Prime scan scanner for dental procedures. , ? Sterilize dental instruments and maintain proper infection control in treatment rooms. , ? Welcome patients and handle inquiries at the front desk. , ? Schedule patient appointments and assist in daily office operations. Requirements ? Completion of a dental assistant program. , ? Current x-ray certification. , ? Current and active BLS/CPR certification. , ? Knowledge of dental insurance billing. , ? Strong computer and data entry skills. , ?
