Key Responsibilities
Ā Develop and deliver engaging lectures, presentations, and demonstrations on essential topics such as dental anatomy, radiology, infection control, chairside assisting, and dental materials.
Ā Provide practical, hands-on training in laboratory settings to help students build technical skills and confidence in performing dental procedures.
Ā Oversee and support students during clinical rotations, ensuring adherence to safety protocols and professional standards.
Ā Evaluate student progress through exams, assignments, and practical assessments while offering constructive feedback for continuous improvement.
Ā Stay updated on industry developments and integrate relevant trends into the curriculum to enhance program relevance.
Ā Foster a positive and inclusive learning environment that encourages participation, collaboration, and critical thinking among students.
Ā Mentor and advise students on career guidance, study techniques, and support throughout their educational journey.
Ā Collaborate with faculty and administration to enhance curriculum, develop new course materials, and refine instructional methods.
Qualifications
Ā High School diploma or equivalent required.
Ā 3-5 years of experience as a dental assistant in a clinical setting.
Ā Strong knowledge of dental assisting techniques, procedures, and best practices.
Ā Excellent communication skills with the ability to present complex concepts clearly to diverse learners.
Ā A passion for education and a commitment to student success.
Ā Ability to provide constructive feedback and mentorship for student growth.
Ā Flexibility to adapt teaching methods to various student needs and learning environments.
Ā Current certification or licensure as a dental assistant is preferred but not required.
Ā Previous teaching or instructional experience is a plus.
Ā Proficiency in computer skills is necessary.
