Dental Assistant

We are looking for a dedicated and motivated dental assistant to join our growing practice! In this role, you will play a vital role in supporting the dentist and ensuring a positive experience for our patients.
Responsibilities:
ā¢ Chairside Assistance:Assist the dentist during patient exams, procedures, and consultations.
ā¢ Prepare treatment rooms, ensuring they are clean, organized, and sterile.
ā¢ Help with the application and removal of dental materials (fillings, crowns, etc.).
ā¢ Take dental x-rays (following all safety protocols).
ā¢ Suction and hold instruments during procedures.
ā¢ Maintain a clear field of vision for the dentist.
ā¢ Patient Care:Greet patients warmly and make them feel comfortable.
ā¢ Update and maintain patient dental records.
ā¢ Schedule appointments and answer patient phone calls.
ā¢ Provide oral hygiene instructions and education on proper dental care.
ā¢ Explain treatment plans and answer patient questions in a clear and concise manner.
ā¢ Administrative and Clinical Support:Sterilize instruments and equipment according to infection control protocols.
ā¢ Maintain a clean and organized work environment.
ā¢ Stock treatment rooms with necessary supplies.
ā¢ Assist with insurance and billing processes (as applicable).
ā¢ Perform other duties as assigned by the dentist.
Qualifications:
ā¢ Dental assistant certification (preferred) or experience in a dental setting
ā¢ Knowledge of dental terminology, procedures, and equipment
ā¢ Excellent communication and interpersonal skills
ā¢ Strong organizational skills and a keen eye for detail
ā¢ Ability to work independently and as part of a team
ā¢ Friendly, compassionate, and professional demeanor
ā¢ Proficiency in computer software (dental practice management software a plus)
ā¢ Ability to lift and carry up to 25 lbs
