Delivery Manager (Contract, Director level)
Company: Trampetti (Automation Services) Type: 1099 Contractor, Remote (US), Core Hours 10:00–18:00 CT, No Travel Reports to: Owner Scope: Own delivery execution across up to 5 concurrent client engagements; typical pod size ~8 (mix of SMEs/engineers). What you’ll do • Delivery leadership: Plan and run Agile delivery (Scrum/Kanban/Scrumban as appropriate). Own schedules, risks, dependencies, and stakeholder comms. Enforce change control with clear impact/cost/timeline. • Assessment & discovery: Lead interviews with frontline, SMEs, and owners; synthesize pain points; produce current-state maps, data baseline, and a crisp business case. • Execution cadence: Host a 30-minute daily Plan-of-Day (yesterday/today/blockers). Drive weekly delivery reviews and monthly retros. • Quick wins & 90-day plan: Identify and deliver early value (e.g., a report or feature that saves client time). Build a 90-day plan to reduce labor costs, surface trends, connect systems, and harden foundations. • Technical program leadership: Direct SMEs across automations (RPA/iPaaS), AI/LLM, Power Platform, APIs, SQL/BI. You won’t code; you will sequence, unblock, and uphold technical quality. • Tooling & reporting: Improve client work-management systems (ClickUp preferred). Publish dashboards for delivery health, velocity/throughput, forecast, and margin awareness. • Process mapping: Produce clear as-is and to-be flows; prioritize improvements and acceptance criteria. • Client management: Strong presence with the ability to push back on scope politely and keep teams focused. Outcomes & KPIs • On-time milestone delivery across 5 engagements. • Time-to-first-value ≤ 30 days on new accounts. • Delivery velocity sustained/improving quarter over quarter. • Margin awareness: plan work to protect target margins set by leadership. • CSAT/NPS (if requested by client) at target or improving. Must-haves • 5+ years client-facing delivery leadership in tech/automation or adjacent services. • Proven record leading multiple concurrent projects and directing technical SMEs. • Agile ceremonies, backlog hygiene, and change control discipline. • ClickUp (or Jira/Asana) experience improving workflows, templates, automations, and reporting. • Strong process mapping and stakeholder facilitation. • Detail-oriented, servant leader, driver. Nice-to-haves • Construction/AEC or field-operations exposure. • Certifications (CSM/PSM, PMP, Lean/Six Sigma, Power BI) are a plus.
