Job Summary We are seeking a highly skilled and enthusiastic Elementary English Language Learners Paraeducator to provide individualized support to students in a remote setting. As a Paraeducator, you will work closely with certified teachers to reinforce curriculum, monitor student behavior, and provide clerical support. Key Responsibilities Assist students individually or in small groups to introduce and reinforce learning concepts, curriculum, assignments, and lesson plans under the direct supervision of a certified teacher Monitor and supervise students in various settings, including virtual classrooms, to ensure a safe and positive learning environment Adapt and administer classroom activities, assignments, and assessments to meet the diverse needs of students Model conversations, manners, active listening, organizational skills, problem-solving strategies, and everyday interaction to demonstrate appropriate social behavior in a culturally sensitive manner Confer with certified teachers to assist in the evaluation of student progress, success, and record-keeping Provide verbal feedback and/or written documentation and reports observations and incidents related to specific students Maintain manual and electronic files and records as required Assist other personnel as required, which may include enrolling students, maintaining records, working with other classroom teachers, filing paperwork, organizing rooms, duplicating, laminating, correcting papers, etc. Respond to emergency situations and direct to appropriate personnel for resolution Attend meetings and in-service training as required Essential Qualifications High school diploma or equivalent No experience required, but experience working with school-age children is preferred Criminal background check required for hire First Aid certification preferred English language skills Oral and written communication skills Interpersonal relations skills Basic math skills Bilingual language skills preferred Preferred Qualifications Experience working in an educational setting, particularly with elementary students Knowledge of curriculum design and implementation Familiarity with remote learning platforms and technology Ability to adapt to changing circumstances and priorities Strong organizational and time management skills Skills and Competencies Ability to maintain confidentiality in all aspects of the job Ability and willingness to work effectively and compassionately with students of all levels of abilities Ability and willingness to adhere to attendance expectations and follow district procedures for absence reporting Ability to promote and follow Board of Trustees policies, District policies, and building and department procedures Ability to communicate, interact, and work effectively and cooperatively with all people, including those from diverse ethnic and educational backgrounds Ability to recognize the importance of safety in the workplace, follow safety rules, practice safe work habits, utilize appropriate/required safety equipment, and report unsafe conditions to the appropriate administrator Career Growth Opportunities and Learning Benefits At Workwarp, we are committed to the growth and development of our employees.
