Debt Collections Representative?/Bi-Lingual Spanish?/English Remote
Position: Debt Collections Representative (Bi-Lingual Spanish/English Remote)
PURPOSE AND SCOPE:
The Bi-Lingual Spanish/English Patient Debt Collections Representative will perform collection follow-up with patients on delinquent and/or non-delinquent accounts for medical providers in a high-volume call center environment. The collections specialist will utilize excellent communication and customer service skills to resolve patient accounts.
PRINCIPAL DUTIES AND RESPONSIBILITIES:
Ā Assist patients in the resolution of outstanding payments from past due accounts.
Ā Identify problem accounts and escalate as appropriate.
Ā Update the patient record to identify actions taken on the account.
Ā Achieve monthly department collection goals.
Ā Maintain minimum production standards.
Ā Achieve quality assurance scores that meet department requirements.
Ā Work within company attendance guidelines.
Ā Provide excellent customer service during all interactions.
Ā Perform all responsibilities in compliance with company policies and procedures.
Ā Comply with all guidelines, policies, and procedures to assure sensitive or confidential information is protected in accordance with the HIPAA rules and regulations.
Ā Assist with various projects as assigned by direct supervisor.
Ā Additional responsibilities may include focus on one or more departments or locations. See applicable addendum for department or location specific functions.

EDUCATION:
Ā High School Diploma required.
EXPERIENCE AND REQUIRED SKILLS:
Ā 1 - 2 years' related experience.
Ā Transferable skills/experience would be beneficial to the position but are not required.
Ā Ability to multitask within multiple channels of technology.
Ā General computer skills with working knowledge of word processing, spreadsheet, and email applications.
Ā Detail-oriented with good analytical and organizational skills.
Ā Good interpersonal skills with the ability to work cohesively within a team environment.
Ā Excellent oral and written communication skills to effectively communicate with customers and all levels of management.
