Job Summary:

Visual Edge IT is seeking a highly analytical, detail-driven Deal Strategist to join our Sales Operations – Deal Desk team. This is a high-impact role responsible for architecting profitable, competitive, and operationally deliverable deals across Imaging and IT Services—including Managed IT, UCaaS, Cybersecurity, and related solutions.

As a strategic partner to Sales, Purchasing, Product SMEs, and Service leadership, you will guide complex pricing requests from intake through final approval and handoff. You will ensure deals meet VEIT’s financial targets, comply with pricing governance, and position our teams to win in competitive markets—while protecting margin and operational integrity.

Roles and Responsibilities
• Manage deal intake and triage through established SLA standards, ensuring all required documentation, scope details, and financial inputs are complete and accurate.
• Architect competitive and profitable pricing models across Imaging and IT Services opportunities, including equipment, leasing, recurring managed services, licensing, onboarding, and project-based components.
• Analyze total deal margin and overall house margin to ensure alignment with internal financial targets and profitability standards.
• Model alternative pricing scenarios to support competitive positioning while protecting company margins.
• Coordinate vendor special pricing requests and approval workflows with Purchasing, Product SMEs, and Service Leadership.
• Evaluate non-standard pricing requests and manage margin exceptions in accordance with pricing governance and approval matrices.
• Prepare executive-level summaries for escalations outlining financial impact, competitive considerations, and strategic justification.
• Ensure Salesforce opportunities and supporting documentation accurately reflect approved pricing structures and conditions.
• Maintain audit-ready documentation including vendor quotes, approvals, pricing workbooks, and expiration timelines.
• Partner cross-functionally with Sales, Finance, Purchasing, and Service teams to ensure deals are operationally sound and deliverable.
• Support reporting initiatives, SLA tracking, and continuous improvement efforts to enhance quote accuracy and deal cycle efficiency.
• Other duties as assigned.

Required Skills / Experience
• Bachelor’s degree in Business, Finance, Operations, or related field preferred (or equivalent experience).
• 3+ years of experience in Deal Desk, sales operations, pricing, financial analysis, quoting, or related roles within Imaging, Managed Print, IT Services, Cybersecurity, UCaaS, or similar technology environments.
• Strong financial modeling and analytical skills with the ability to interpret margin structures and develop pricing recommendations.
• Understanding of imaging deal economics including equipment, leasing, and service margin structures.
• Familiarity with recurring revenue models, managed services pricing, and project-based IT solutions.
• Working knowledge of pricing governance processes and approval workflows.
• Proficiency in Salesforce or similar CRM systems.
• Advanced Excel skills and strong attention to detail.
• Ability to manage multiple concurrent deals in a fast-paced, deadline-driven environment.
• Strong communication skills with the ability to collaborate cross-functionally and influence stakeholders.
