Responsibilities
Oversee the park's landscapes, water bodies, and boundaries to promote public engagement.

Safeguard visitor well-being and uphold adherence to park rules along with relevant statutes.

Vigilantly observe the park's facilities to ensure a secure environment for all guests.
,
Foster a welcoming atmosphere for community interaction.
,
Enforce compliance with established regulations to contribute to the overall safety and enjoyment of the park.
Requirements
Successful completion of the DCNR Ranger Trainee program; or
,
Completion of a department approved law enforcement training program and 15 college credits in a related field; or
,
One year of experience as a forest or park ranger with arrest authority.
,
Must be at least 21 years of age at time of employment.
,
Possession of an active motor vehicle license.
,
Obtain commission as a State Park or State Forest Officer.
,
Obtain valid certification in standard first aid and CPR during the probationary period.
,
Pass psychological testing (MMPI) and background checks.
