Position Overview
Seeking a skilled Scrum Master to spearhead our Data Center to Cloud migration strategy. Lead cross-functional teams through sophisticated cloud transformation projects encompassing Rehost, Re-platform, Rewrite, and Purchase methodologies
Key Responsibilities
Scrum Leadership & Facilitation
ā¢ Facilitate all Scrum ceremonies (Daily Stand-ups, Sprint Planning, Sprint Reviews, and Retrospectives) for cloud migration teams
ā¢ Remove impediments and blockers that hinder team progress across multiple migration workstreams
ā¢ Coach team members on Agile principles and Scrum practices specific to cloud transformation
ā¢ Foster a culture of continuous improvement and collaboration across cross-functional teams
Cloud Migration Strategy Management
ā¢ Rehost (Lift & Shift): Coordinate teams migrating applications with minimal changes to cloud infrastructure
ā¢ Replatform: Manage sprints focused on optimizing applications during migration with minor modifications
ā¢ Rewrite/Refactor: Facilitate development teams rebuilding applications using cloud-native architectures
ā¢ Purchase: Coordinate evaluation, procurement, and implementation of SaaS/commercial solutions replacing legacy systems
Project Coordination & Delivery
ā¢ Maintain and prioritize product backlogs for multiple migration streams
ā¢ Track and report on sprint velocity, burndown charts, and migration progress metrics
ā¢ Coordinate dependencies between teams working on interconnected systems
ā¢ Ensure alignment with overall cloud migration roadmap and timelines
ā¢ Manage risks and issues specific to cloud transformation initiatives
Stakeholder Management
ā¢ Communicate progress, risks, and blockers to leadership and stakeholders
ā¢ Facilitate decision-making sessions for migration strategy selection (6Rs framework)
ā¢ Coordinate with Infrastructure, Security, Compliance, and Application teams
ā¢ Bridge communication between technical teams and business stakeholders
Required Qualifications
Certifications & Education
ā¢ Certified Scrum Master (CSM) or Professional Scrum Master (PSM) certification required
Experience
ā¢ 6+ years of experience as a Scrum Master in technology environments
ā¢ 3+ years of experience with cloud migration or transformation projects
ā¢ Proven track record managing multiple Agile teams simultaneously
ā¢ Experience with DC to Cloud migration strategies (Rehost, Replatform, Rewrite, Purchase)
ā¢ Hands-on experience with cloud platforms (AWS, Azure, or Google Cloud)
Technical Knowledge
ā¢ Understanding of cloud architecture patterns and migration methodologies
ā¢ Familiarity with infrastructure as code (Terraform, CloudFormation, ARM templates)
ā¢ Knowledge of containerization and orchestration (Docker, Kubernetes)
ā¢ Understanding of CI/CD pipelines and DevOps practices
ā¢ Experience with cloud migration tools (AWS Migration Hub, Azure Migrate, CloudEndure)
Skills & Competencies
ā¢ Agile Expertise: Deep understanding of Scrum framework and Agile methodologies
ā¢ Communication: Excellent verbal and written communication skills
ā¢ Problem-Solving: Strong analytical and critical thinking abilities
