Database Developer - Oracle (on-site Interviews in Dallas)
recruit22 is partnering with a confidential client to identify an experienced Database Developer to join their IT organization. This role is responsible for designing, developing, optimizing, and supporting enterprise database systems that are critical to business operations and application performance.
Salary Range: $105,000 - $115,000 (base)
Employment Type: Full-Time/Remote with in person team bonding travel

ā¢ Design, develop, and maintain database systems to ensure stability, reliability, and high performance
ā¢ Create and implement database solutions based on business and end-user requirements
ā¢ Develop, test, and maintain Oracle database objects, including tables, views, triggers, procedures, functions, and packages
ā¢ Refactor existing database objects to support system enhancements, controls, diagnostics, and research initiatives
ā¢ Support and evaluate new technologies to improve or enhance current database capabilities
ā¢ Perform database performance tuning and optimization to improve application efficiency
ā¢ Prepare technical documentation and standard operating procedures (SOPs) for database applications
ā¢ Maintain database code and artifacts in a version control system
ā¢ Collaborate with database team members, application developers, and support teams
ā¢ Provide support during critical software or production issues as needed
ā¢ Continuously learn and apply new database development tools and techniques
Required Qualifications
ā¢ Bachelor's degree in Information Technology, Computer Science, or equivalent professional experience
ā¢ 5+ years of hands-on experience with Oracle relational database modeling, development, and shell scripting
ā¢ 3+ years of experience with:
ā¢ Oracle DDL and DML
ā¢ PL/SQL and SQL
ā¢ Database objects (tables, views, triggers, procedures, functions, packages)
ā¢ Tools such as SQL*Plus, SQL Developer, SQLcl
ā¢ Data modeling tools (e.g., SQL Modeler, ERwin, TOAD)
ā¢ Data extraction, Oracle Data Pump, SQL Loader
ā¢ Unix/Linux environments and shell scripting
ā¢ Experience using database version control tools (or equivalent systems)
ā¢ Strong background in database testing and performance tuning
ā¢ Proven ability to lead or contribute to database transformation and enhancement initiatives
ā¢ Excellent written and verbal communication skills with a strong focus on technical documentation
