Database Developer; hybrid-remote
Position: Database Developer (hybrid-remote)
Overview
This is a 6 month contract role
The ideal candidate must demonstrate in-depth knowledge and understanding of Database concepts for developing new and supporting existing applications in Azure Cloud Platform. Power
BI Report development experience is a must. Need to support the applications by handling Large Volume of Data, in Oracle and SQL Server, Azure SQL platform.
Responsibilities
ā¢ Experience in data analysis and data mapping and consequently data integration routines which involves moving, cleansing, and transforming large amount of data between multiple systems.
ā¢ Identifies data sources, provides data flow diagrams, and documents source to target mapping and process.
ā¢ Design, implement and maintain database objects (tables, views, indexes, etc.) and database security.
ā¢ Maintain the data warehouse performance by optimizing batch processing through parallelization, performance tuning etc.
ā¢ Troubleshoot performance and reliability issues and investigate anomalous behavior in the Database environment.
ā¢ Power BI Development experience in Reports, Dashboards and DAX queries.
ā¢ Experience in Power BI Administration and/or Angular is a plus.
ā¢ Experience with Source Version Control software like Git Hub and CICD pipelines
ā¢ Provide support after hours as and when needed.
Requirements
ā¢ 7+ years of experience in Data Warehousing and Business Intelligence
ā¢ 5+ Years in BI development leveraging the Microsoft SQL Server. Needs to be an expert in T-SQL
ā¢ 3-4 Years in SSIS and use of Stored Procedures.
ā¢ 3-4 Years in Power
BI Report Development
ā¢ Ingest and aggregate data from both internal and external data sources to build our data stage areas
ā¢ Strong understanding data modeling (i.e., conceptual, logical, and physical model design, experience with Operation Data Stores, Enterprise Data warehouses and Data Marts).
ā¢ Strong experience with business intelligence and data warehousing design principles and industry best practices.
Qualifications
ā¢ Bachelor s degree from an accredited college or university with coursework in computer science or management information systems AND 5 years of related experience.
