We are looking for a Senior Database Administrator who thrives in complex, multi-cloud environments. This isn't a "maintenance-only" role. You will be a key architect in a high-stakes migration from
• *legacy DB2 and Oracle systems to Microsoft SQL Server**
, bridging the gap between
• *AWS RDS**
and
• *Microsoft Azure**
.
• *What You’ll Be Doing**
• **Architecting Migrations:**
Lead the transition of DB2 and Oracle data into Azure-based SQL Server environments.
• **Hybrid-Cloud Management:**
Manage and optimize databases across both
• *Amazon RDS**
and
• *Azure SQL/VMs**
.
• **Data Integration:**
Build and maintain a
• *bidirectional sync**
between Azure SQL and
• *PowerPlatform CDS/Dataverse**
.
• **Problem Solving:**
Resolve data type conversions and collisions in dual-source systems to ensure 100% data integrity.
• **Optimization:**
Support distributed applications and batch updates impacted by the migration process.
• *Required Technical Skill Set**
• **Cloud Mastery:**
Proven experience with
• *AWS (Amazon RDS)**
and
• *Microsoft Azure**
(SQL Server on VM and Azure SQL).
• **SQL Server Expert:**
Deep knowledge of SSMS, Azure Data Studio, and
• *SSIS**
for complex data movement.
• **Migration Specialist:**
Hands-on experience converting
• *Oracle or DB2**
databases to SQL Server.
• **Integration Pro:**
Familiarity with
• *Azure Service Bus**
and managing dual-source data synchronization.
• **Troubleshooter:**
Ability to handle complex data type conversions and resolve synchronization collisions.
• *Preferred (Bonus) Skills**
• Experience with
• *PowerPlatform / Dataverse**
integrations.
• Hands-on experience with cross-cloud migrations (AWS to Azure).
