Data Scientist - Snowflake implementation
Location: Des Moines, IA (90% remote)- Travel will be paid for client meetings
Duration: 6 -18 month duration
AS A DATA SCIENTIST ON THE TEAM YOU WILL :
ā¢ Use data to find opportunities and drive optimization for product development, marketing techniques and business strategies
ā¢ Assess the effectiveness and accuracy of new data sources and data gathering techniques and drive implementation
ā¢ Develop custom data models and algorithms to optimize the product experience
ā¢ Develop an A/B testing framework we can use for various company experiments
ā¢ Coordinate with the engineering team to implement models and monitor outcomes
ā¢ Develop processes and tools to monitor and analyze model performance and data accuracy
OUR IDEAL CANDIDATE WILL HAVE :
ā¢ 3+ years of experience in a data or statistics role
ā¢ Strong problem solving skills with an emphasis on product development
ā¢ Experience using Python (pandas, numpy, scikit-learn) to manipulate data and draw insights from large data sets
ā¢ Hands on experience of relational database/data warehouse ( i.e. MySQL, Snowflake)
ā¢ Knowledge of advanced statistical techniques and concepts (regression, properties of distributions, statistical tests and proper usage, etc.) and experience with applications
ā¢ Excellent written and verbal communication skills for coordinating across teams.
ā¢ Knowledge of a variety of machine learning techniques (clustering, decision tree learning, artificial neural networks, etc.) and their real-world advantages/drawbacks
