Data Scientist I

Remote Full-time
An individual contributor level role responsible for supporting the data management strategy, building reporting, designing BI tools, and developing Machine Learning and AI models to assist with business decision making, improving quality, and reducing manual work. This role will support initiatives that require advanced analytics, modeling, and forecasting. Concentrate on collecting, cleansing and analyzing data, developing decision support software and producing actionable information for decision making.

Essential Functions
• Develops and maintains Extract Transfer Load processes and data pipelines to support reporting, BI and data modeling.
• Identify business opportunities or expand ideas obtained from management to conceptualize and define and model operational problems to assess feasibility and impact.
• Identify performance improvement opportunities via data analysis and develop decision support tools to ensure most cost conscience, efficient use of company resources that supports service objectives.
• Develop concepts into business plans utilizing appropriate research techniques, methodologies, and experience and present them to management with recommendation for implementation.
• Perform extensive analysis of the problem, model, and resources available and alternative solutions.
• Identify, analyze, interpret and visualize trends or patterns in complex data sets.
• Assist with the preparation of decision analysis and reports for presentation to management.
• Support model design and development via testing, validation, and evaluation of strategic proposals.
• Comply with all applicable laws/regulations as well as company policies/procedures.
• Perform other duties as required.

Minimum Education

Master’s degree in Data Science, Business Analytics, Computer Science, Applied Mathematics, Statistics or related field plus 0 years of experience in the job offered or 0 years of relevant work experience required.

Minimum Work Experience

The position requires experience or graduate level coursework with (skills can be gained concurrently through education): Programming skills and ability to learn new languages including but not limited to: Databricks, Python, JAVA, SQL and SAS; Knowledge of relational database systems, including but not limited to: Azure Synapse, SQL server, Oracle and DB2; Basic knowledge of designing and building machine learning models; Statistical software and reporting interfaces, data mining tools, machine learning techniques and data visualization. Analytical, problem solving, time management, organizational and interpersonal skills. Good verbal and written communication skills. Position allows for telecommuting from home within commuting distance of Richfield, OH.

Pay Transparency: This compensation range is provided as a reasonable estimate of the current starting salary range for this role across all potential locations. If this opportunity includes multiple job levels, the range is a reasonable estimate of the current starting salary for the lowest level to the current starting salary of the highest level. Actual starting pay would be determined by experience relative to the job, market level, pay at the location for this job and other job-related factors permitted by law. An employee may be eligible for additional pay, premiums, or bonus potential. The Company offers eligible employees health, vision and dental insurance, disability and life insurance, retirement, and tuition reimbursement.

Pay: $92,000.00 to $117,650.00/yr
