Data Scientist

Summary As the Data Scientist , you will leverage your analytical skills and technical expertise to transform data into strategic insights and create robust BI solutions. You will collaborate with cross-functional teams to gather requirements, develop dashboards and reports, and ensure data integrity and accuracy. This role will plan, execute, lead, and participate in multiple applicable cross-functional projects and vendors. Principle Responsibilities/Key Results Areas Analyze complex data sets to identify trends, patterns, and actionable insights. Collaborate with cross-functional teams to understand business requirements and translate them into actionable analytical tasks. Design, develop, and maintain BI solutions, including dashboards and reports, using NetSuite Analytics Warehouse (NSAW). Perform exploratory data analysis to uncover hidden insights and opportunities for optimization. Perform data validation and quality assurance to ensure accuracy and reliability of BI solutions. Present findings and recommendations to technical and non-technical stakeholders. Optimize BI solutions for performance, scalability, and user experience. Stay updated on industry trends, data analysis techniques, and BI best practices. Lead and support projects as needed to accomplish identified goals. Follow and adhere to change management processes. Other duties as assigned. Requirements Bachelor’s degree in Business Administration, Data Science, Information Technology, Computer Science or a related field. Minimum of 3+ years as a Data Analyst, Business Analyst, or BI Developer. Minimum of 3+ years of experience with SQL, Python, and BI tools (such as Tableau or Power BI). Ability to manage multiple priorities, multi-task across projects, and effectively prioritize. Strong analytical skills and attention to detail. A motivated self-starter with capability to operate on their own with limited oversight. Effective communication skills with the ability to convey complex ideas in a simple and understandable manner to non-technical stakeholders. Proven ability to work both independently and collaboratively in a fast-paced environment, managing multiple tasks and priorities effectively. Capability to help deliver quality business solutions within restricted timelines while appropriately communicating/escalating risks, issues, or constraints as necessary to business and/or IT management. Ability to travel across the U.S. requiring 10% for standard work. Preferred Qualifications: Experience with statistical analysis and modeling. Familiarity with programming languages such as R. Experience in Oracle Autonomous Data Warehouse or NetSuite Analytics Warehouse Knowledge of database management and data warehousing concepts. Understanding of business processes and industry standards. Knowledge of data governance principles and regulatory compliance standards. Experience in the energy industry.
