Be a part of something special! This Data Scientist position will lead our artificial intelligence (AI) and machine learning (ML) projects in the federal space. The Data Scientist will guide our federal agency clients with large datasets, both structured and unstructured, in extracting useful insights and reducing manual analysis using various AI/ML techniques. This will include leading AI/ML centers of excellence to assist federal agencies understand various approaches and models within AI/ML that may be relevant to their datasets and objectives. It will also include hands-on modeling work in collaboration with our federal clients to develop and deploy AI/ML models. Finally, the Data Scientist will assist Halvik in proposing innovative AI/ML solutions to help federal agencies go beyond basic analysis needs and answer questions previously not considered. What You Need: Proficient with a broad spectrum of advanced data science techniques and industry expertise including machine learning and AI. Able to explain relevance of data science techniques to various use cases. Expert in descriptive statistics and statistical methods with applications in machine learning (e.g., correlation, regression, clustering) Practical programming experience in Python, R, Matlab, Spark/PySpark, SQL, and/or other related programming languages (5+ years preferred) Self-starter with excellent communication skills, able to work independently, and lead projects, initiatives, and/or people 3+ years of practical data science experience BS in Computer Science, Information Systems, Engineering, Business, or other related scientific or technical discipline This position requires a minimum of 12 years of experience of which at least 8 years must be specialized Preferred Skills: 5+ years of practical data science experience (preferred) Advanced degree in a STEM-related field Experience delivering end-to-end data science projects, starting with project plan, through data modelling & data integrity checks to delivering value with explainable results Experience in automation and deployment preferred (MLOps and Data Engineering) Halvik offers a competitive full benefits package including: Company-supported medical, dental, vision, life, STD, and LTD insurance Benefits include 11 federal holidays and PTO Eligible employees may receive performance-based incentives in recognition of individual and/or team achievements. 401(k) with company matching Flexible Spending Accounts for commuter, medical, and dependent care expenses Tuition Assistance Charitable Contribution matching Halvik Corp is an equal opportunity employer.
