Our culture embraces openness, acts with respect, shows grit & guts and combines employment with enjoyment.Job DescriptionPosition – how you’ll contributeGather data from various sources, including databases, APIs, web scraping, and external datasets, ensuring comprehensive coverage for analysis.Preprocess and clean the data to handle missing values, outliers, and inconsistencies, ensuring high-quality data for analysis.Conduct exploratory analysis to understand data distributions, identify patterns, trends, and correlations, and generate insights that inform further analysis.Create new features or variables from existing data to improve the performance of machine learning models, enhancing predictive capabilities.Build and train machine learning models using appropriate algorithms and techniques to solve specific business problems or make predictions.Assess model performance using metrics such as accuracy, precision, recall, and F1 score, and fine-tune hyperparameters to optimize results.Create visualizations and dashboards to effectively communicate findings and insights to stakeholders, making complex data more accessible and understandable.Work closely with cross-functional teams, including product managers, engineers, and business analysts, to understand business needs and translate them into data-driven solutions.Deploy machine learning models into production environments and monitor their performance over time, making adjustments as necessary to maintain accuracy.Document methodologies, processes, and results to ensure transparency and reproducibility, and prepare reports or presentations to communicate insights and recommendations to stakeholders.QualificationsExpectations – the experience you needProven experience as a Data Scientist or in a similar analytical role, with a strong portfolio of projects.Proficiency in programming languages such as Python or R, and experience with data manipulation libraries (e.g., Pandas, NumPy).Strong knowledge of machine learning algorithms and frameworks (e.g., scikit-learn, TensorFlow, Keras).Experience with data visualization tools (e.g., Tableau, Power BI, Matplotlib, Seaborn) to present findings effectively.Familiarity with SQL and database management systems for data extraction and manipulation.Excellent analytical and problem-solving skills, with a keen attention to detail.Strong communication skills, with the ability to convey complex technical concepts to non-technical stakeholders.Experience with big data technologies (e.g., Hadoop, Spark) is a plus.Ability to work independently and collaboratively in a fast-paced environment.Additional InformationOur offer – professional development, personal growth:Flexible employment and remote work International projects with leading global clients International business trips Non-corporate atmosphere Language classes Internal & external training Private healthcare and insurance Multisport card Well-being initiatives Position at: Software Mind Poland
