Data Science Intern

Job Description:Position SummaryThe Data Science intern will assist with AI adoption into our business practice. Collaborating with Formex Global Product Management and Marketing, this role will create a Virtual Assistant (Chatbot) for the ITW Formex website to automate website inquiry responses with accurate, consistent responses and increase website visitor dwell time. This job will interact with ITW teams in US Central, Shanghai China, and Taiwan time zones and will be a remote position.Key Responsibilities:Develop an intelligent chatbot capable of responding to website inquiries using accurate, consistent, authorized informationExpand the chatbot’s capability by incorporating client’s evolving requirementsLaunch the chatbot on http://itwformex.com in English and ideally on https://www.itwformex.com/zh-CN in Simplified ChineseEducation and Skills:Must be pursuing a Bachelor’s Degree in a quantitative discipline (Computer Science, Data Science, Data Engineering, Artificial Intelligence, Applied Mathematics, Statistics, or related) from an accredited universityProficient experience in data science focused on data for client studies, modeling, data wrangling, and/or ML/AIFluency in Python, R, Java and other computing languagesAble to work directly with clients in complex analysis and presenting deliverables to non-technical personnelAble to travel as necessary to meet project and client requirementsMust be able to work autonomously and be self-directedAble to work within a collaborative team environment and coordinate activities between program componentsExcellent communication skills, both written and verbalStrong analytical skills, critical thinking, and attention to detailBilingual in Mandarin preferredCompensation Information:$25/hourITW is an equal opportunity employer.
