Data Reporting Specialist
The North Carolina Department of Health and Human Services (DHHS) is one of the largest agencies in the state, responsible for ensuring the health and well-being of North Carolinians. They are seeking a Data Reporting Specialist who will manage child support incentives, prepare federally mandated reports, and work with data warehouse teams to develop and analyze queries and reports. Responsibilities Manage child support incentives Ensure incentive funds are accurately distributed and disbursed to county Child Support Services offices Preparation of all federally mandated reports Monitor incentive performance Analyze and interpret statistical data to identify significant trends and predictive outcomes Work with the data warehouse team to design, develop and test data warehouse queries and reports by creating, modifying and updating business requirements Work with federal, state and local auditors to ensure program security and accuracy Preparation of federal, state and internal reports regarding program performance Retrieve and analyze data from various data sources, generate reports, provide analysis and recommendations to Manager, Child Support Services Section Chiefs and Director to assist with decisions concerning the program Calculation of Incentive Payments Evaluate federal, state and county program performance in relation to incentive grant award and provide recommendation to stakeholders Participate in the design, development, update and testing for the Automated Collection and Tracking System (ACTS functionality in data warehouse Assist statewide child support users with queries needed to achieve case management and performance measure goals and outcomes Develop training material and train users on the use of data warehouse Assist with computer software and/or hardware and provide training as needed Skills Bachelor's degree from an appropriately accredited institution and one year of experience in HR, budgeting, research or administrative management; or an equivalent combination of education and experience Demonstrated knowledge of the North Carolina Child Support Services Program Experience using Client Services Data Warehouse (CSDW) and the Automated Collection and Tracking System (ACTS) Demonstrated ability to prepare statistics for spreadsheets, charts and data analytics with various software applications Ability to work independently and manage several projects simultaneously Strong organizational, analytical, and written/oral communication skills Demonstrated knowledge executing queries and importing data to various software applications Company Overview The N.C.
