The Data Reporting, Specialist role involves preparing complex reports and data visualizations, collaborating with business leaders to align on goals, and ensuring data accuracy. Responsibilities
ā¢ Responsible for the preparation of both ongoing and ad-hoc reports of considerable complexity to support organizational objectives.
ā¢ Acquires, processes, and compiles structured and unstructured data from various sources, ensuring its quality, accuracy, integrity, and consistency.
ā¢ Develops and maintains automated reports, dashboards, and data visualizations utilizing tools such as Power BI, Tableau, or Excel.
ā¢ Delivers visualizations and internal presentations to key stakeholders.
ā¢ Engages with leadership in aligned business areas to gain a comprehensive understanding of business strategy, inquiries, and objectives.
ā¢ Applies in-depth business knowledge to anticipate and address reporting needs, adjusting reporting strategies proactively in response to evolving business decisions.
ā¢ Communicates findings and outcomes effectively to management and leadership teams.
ā¢ Collaborates with cross-functional teams to define data requirements and align with business goals.
ā¢ Provides actionable insights by analyzing and interpreting data trends.
ā¢ Designs and creates ad hoc reports as required.
ā¢ Ensures the validity of analytical methodologies employed by other specialists, leading advanced initiatives for reporting enhancements and automation.
ā¢ Offers guidance to colleagues on the implementation of process improvements and automation strategies.
ā¢ Reviews and optimizes queries for performance, making necessary adjustments to improve efficiency.
ā¢ Serves as a subject matter expert for escalated query or report-writing issues and leads the design and development of reporting systems, including the creation of comprehensive user documentation.
ā¢ Conducts exploratory or descriptive analytics using data derived from queries when necessary.
ā¢ Oversees and manages recurring reporting processes, ensuring they align with business objectives and are executed efficiently.
ā¢ Identifies opportunities for process optimization in data collection, reporting, and analysis, recommending improvements as appropriate.
ā¢ Contributes to special projects and undertakes additional duties as required.
ā¢ Prepares detailed reports and presentations for senior management, summarizing key insights and recommendations.
Requirements
ā¢ Minimum 5 years of related work experience in data reporting and visualization.
ā¢ Bachelor's degree in Data Science, Business Analytics, Computer Science, or a related field (or equivalent experience).
ā¢ Relevant certifications in data visualization or analytics tools (e.g., Power BI, Tableau, Excel, SQL).
ā¢ Extensive experience in data analysis, reporting, or business intelligence with tools such as Tableau, Power BI, etc.
ā¢ Experience with data automation, query optimization, and process improvement.
ā¢ Strong understanding of business strategy and data-driven decision-making.
ā¢ Expertise in analyzing large datasets, identifying trends, and providing actionable insights.
ā¢ Ability to identify and implement improvements in data collection, reporting, and analysis workflows.
Nice-to-haves
ā¢ Experience with Python is a plus.
