Data Quality Analyst – Remote Work

Job Summary IBM is seeking a highly motivated and detail-oriented Data Quality Analyst to remotely. In this role, you will be responsible for ensuring the accuracy, consistency, and integrity of data across multiple systems, helping IBM make data-driven decisions that drive business growth. The ideal candidate will have a strong analytical mindset, excellent problem-solving skills, and a passion for maintaining high-quality data standards in a dynamic, fast-paced environment. Key Responsibilities • Conduct data profiling, validation, and cleansing activities to maintain high-quality datasets. • Collaborate with data stewards, business analysts, and IT teams to identify and resolve data quality issues. • Develop and implement data quality metrics, dashboards, and reporting processes to monitor data health. • Support data governance initiatives, ensuring compliance with IBM’s data policies and standards. • Assist in the design and execution of data quality improvement projects. • Document data issues, root causes, and remediation plans for continuous improvement. • Perform regular audits and reconcile data discrepancies across multiple sources. Required Skills and Qualifications • Bachelor’s degree in Computer Science, Information Technology, Statistics, or related field. • Strong understanding of data quality concepts, data profiling, and data validation techniques. • Hands-on experience with SQL and database querying. • Familiarity with data governance tools and frameworks is preferred. • Excellent analytical and problem-solving abilities with strong attention to detail. • Strong written and verbal communication skills to interact with cross-functional teams. • Ability to work independently in a remote environment while managing priorities effectively. Experience • Minimum of 2-4 years of experience in data quality analysis, data management, or a related field. • Experience in handling large datasets and performing data reconciliation across multiple systems. • Prior exposure to data governance and data quality tools (e.g., Informatica, Talend, Collibra) is an advantage. Working Hours • Full-time, remote position. • Flexible working hours, with occasional alignment to global team schedules. • Must be able to attend virtual meetings as needed. Knowledge, Skills, and Abilities • Strong logical and critical thinking skills. • Proficiency in data analysis and visualization tools (Excel, Power BI, or Tableau). • Ability to prioritize tasks and manage time effectively in a remote setting. • Knowledge of data privacy and security best practices. • Collaborative mindset and ability to work effectively with cross-functional teams.
