We are currently looking for a Data Ops Engineer (SQL/Python/Data Warehouses) in Brazil. As a Data Operations Engineer, you will play a key role in ensuring the stability, scalability, and efficiency of data platforms and pipelines. You will work at the intersection of data engineering, database administration, and technical operations, supporting critical analytics workflows across the organization. Collaborating closely with cross-functional teams, you will monitor, troubleshoot, and optimize databases and data warehouses, while implementing automation and orchestration solutions using Python. Your insights and operational improvements will directly impact business decisions, making this a high-impact role. You will document processes, enforce best practices, and contribute to continuous improvements in the data ecosystem, while having the opportunity to experiment with modern tools and technologies. Accountabilities • Monitor and troubleshoot databases, data pipelines, workflows, and data warehouses supporting ETL/ELT processes • Maintain and optimize orchestration and automation workflows using Python-based tools • Diagnose platform and data issues, perform root cause analysis, and implement preventative solutions • Research, evaluate, and implement modern solutions for data processing, analytics, and delivery • Work in a ticket-based environment with defined SLAs, ensuring timely resolution of operational issues • Document SOPs, runbooks, and operational guidelines for technical teams • Collaborate with cross-functional teams to support data platform stability and continuous improvement Requirements • Semi-Senior level experience in IT Data Operations, Data Engineering, or related roles • Strong proficiency in SQL: complex queries, joins, aggregations, and data modeling • Experience administering, managing, and tuning databases • Hands-on experience with Python for orchestration, automation, and data manipulation • Experience working with large-scale data warehouses and related technologies • Understanding of software engineering best practices, SDLC, and Agile methodologies • Ability to adapt quickly to new technologies in a fast-changing environment • Experience with ticketing systems and SLA-driven operations • Nice-to-have: experience with AWS services (S3, Lambda, Glue), Airflow, Spark, Postgre SQL, Snowflake (including Snowpark and Data Sharing), U.S. healthcare data, and knowledge of HIPAA/GDPR regulations Benefits • Contractor agreement with payment in USD • 100% remote work across LATAM • Observance of Argentina’s public holidays • English classes and professional development support • Referral program • Access to online learning platforms and resources Why Apply Through Jobgether?
