About the position As a Data Modeler specializing in Azure, you will be responsible for designing, implementing, and maintaining both relational and non-relational data models. You will work closely with cross-functional teams to ensure that data architectures meet business needs. Responsibilities • Design and develop conceptual, logical, and physical data models for both relational (e.g., SQL Database) and non-relational (e.g., Cosmos DB) databases in Azure. • Collaborate with business analysts and stakeholders to gather and translate business requirements into data models. • Implement best practices in data modeling, focusing on performance, scalability, and maintainability. • Optimize data structures for efficient storage, retrieval, and analysis, ensuring data integrity and security. • Create and maintain comprehensive documentation for data models, data flows, and metadata management. • Support data integration efforts with ETL tools and ensure seamless data movement across various systems. • Stay abreast of industry trends and advancements in Azure data technologies, relational and non-relational databases. Requirements • Bachelor’s degree in computer science, Information Technology, or a related field. • Proven experience in data modeling for both relational and non-relational databases, particularly in Azure. • Proficiency in Azure services such as Azure Fabric, Azure SQL Database, Azure Cosmos DB, and Azure Data Factory. • Strong understanding of database design principles and data governance practices. • Excellent analytical, problem-solving, and critical-thinking skills. • Strong communication and collaboration abilities to work effectively with technical and non-technical teams. Nice-to-haves • Knowledge of cloud-based data architecture patterns and data integration strategies. • Familiarity with Data Governance tools like Collibra and ETL/ELT processes and tools. • Experience in agile methodologies and project management.
