Data Migration Specialist – NetSuite to D365 BC
We are looking for a skilled Data Migration Specialist to lead the transition from NetSuite to D365 Business Central for our organization. This role requires someone with a keen attention to detail who excels in data mapping, transformation, and validation while ensuring accuracy and compliance throughout the migration process. As this is a long-term contract position, you'll play a critical role in enabling seamless data flow and supporting post-migration activities. Responsibilities: • Assess the existing NetSuite data structure and prioritize data sets for migration based on business and compliance needs. • Collaborate with stakeholders to identify critical data elements and define the scope of migration to D365 Business Central. • Develop and recommend frameworks, tools, and methodologies to ensure efficient and accurate data transfer. • Create and implement procedures for mapping, transforming, and cleansing data in line with industry best practices. • Execute the full migration process, including extraction, transformation, and loading of data from NetSuite to D365 Business Central. • Validate and reconcile migrated data to ensure integrity and accuracy throughout the migration lifecycle. • Identify and resolve migration issues, documenting processes and providing suggestions for scalability. • Support testing efforts post-migration and assist in training users to navigate the new system effectively. • Maintain clear communication with stakeholders and technical teams to provide regular updates on progress and findings. Qualifications: • Demonstrated experience in data migration projects, specifically involving NetSuite and D365 Business Central or similar systems. • Proficiency in data mapping, migration tools, and frameworks. • Ability to design and document detailed migration workflows, validation checklists, and plans. • Strong analytical skills with a keen eye for detail and proactive problem-solving abilities. • Excellent communication skills for engaging with stakeholders and technical teams. • Knowledge of NetSuite and D365 Business Central data structures and administrative interfaces. • Familiarity with data governance and compliance standards. • Experience in environments lacking pre-existing integrations or third-party applications is a plus.
