Data Migration Specialist (Lawson to Workday)

About the position TalentFish is casting a line for a Data Migration Specialist . This is a remote contract role. The reason this position exists is to provide hands-on technical support for catch-up transactions involving HCM and Payroll data, specifically focusing on extracting data from Lawson/Infor for Workday implementation. What You Bring to the Role (Ideal Experience) Strong SQL skills with extensive experience in hands-on data extraction and script maintenance. Direct experience with Lawson/Infor HCM and Payroll data structures. Solid understanding of HR and Payroll concepts , including employee records, compensation, and benefits. Familiarity with Workday EIBs and a clear understanding of data formatting requirements for successful loads. Detail-oriented mindset with the ability to work independently and meet strict project deadlines. Responsibilities • Write and maintain SQL scripts to accurately identify and extract HCM and Payroll data changes between specific dates. • Analyze Lawson/Infor data related to employees, jobs, compensation, benefits, and payroll to ensure integrity. • Produce clean, EIB-ready CSV files that map correctly to Workday data expectations. • Collaborate with functional and technical teams to confirm cutoff dates, logic, and extraction parameters. • Troubleshoot and resolve data issues identified during the testing phases to ensure accurate migration. Requirements • Strong SQL skills with extensive experience in hands-on data extraction and script maintenance. • Direct experience with Lawson/Infor HCM and Payroll data structures. • Solid understanding of HR and Payroll concepts , including employee records, compensation, and benefits. • Familiarity with Workday EIBs and a clear understanding of data formatting requirements for successful loads. • Detail-oriented mindset with the ability to work independently and meet strict project deadlines. • Authorization to work in the U.S. without current or future visa sponsorship. • Completion of a background check, which may include but is not limited to reference checks, education verification, employment verification, drug testing, criminal records checks, and any required certifications or compliance requirements based on the end client's background check policies and applicable laws.
