Data Migration Specialist

Position Summary

We are looking for a Data Migration Specialist to join our development team reporting to the Onboarding Manager. In this role, you will work on multiple complex software development projects to ensure timely, predictable, and quality delivery. You’ll use your strong interpersonal skills to communicate status, resolve issues, and ensure satisfaction with customers, project stakeholders, and internal departments.

Duties and Responsibilities
• Write well-designed testable code
• Migrate existing customer databases into Kologik databases
• Monitor the incoming tasks via Microsoft DevOps and Teams
• Attend regular scrum meetings to communicate progress with stakeholders and other team members
• Alert manager and project manager when you are blocked on tasks
• Communicate with other team members on changes that may impact them
• Troubleshoot, debug, maintain, and improve existing software
• Analyze and solve business problems through software creation

Skills and Competencies
• Programming in C# required
• Understanding of database design, table joins, and SQL scripts required
• Experience with Oracle database a plus
• Programming in VueJS or equivalent a plus
• Experienced in the delivery of projects in an agile environment
• Demonstrated technical ability to understand systems end-to-end
• Enthusiastic, driven, self-motivated with a focus on customer service
• Takes initiative for self-development and exhibits an eagerness for learning and sharing new processes
• Must have the ability to analyze and troubleshoot complex problems with great efficiency • Able to work independently, excellent personal organization and able to demonstrate consistently balanced good judgement and logical thought prioritization
• A real interest in problem solving and focused on results
• Must be tenacious about completing tasks and assignments

Basic Qualifications
• Bachelor’s Degree in computer science or equivalent applicable experience
• 1 – 2+ years of experience working as a DBA, Data Architect, Data Engineer, Data Strategist, or related role supporting data migrations
• 1 – 2+ years of experience working with various data stores (CSV, XML, JSON, etc.) • Strong SQL skills, including the ability to write queries and stored procedures
• Power User knowledge in Microsoft Excel
• Experience developing customer reports (SSRS, PowerBI, etc.)
• Must be able to pass a criminal background check
• Must have a home working environment conducive to effective internal meetings, including reliable internet and a dedicated, quiet home office

Preferred Qualifications
• 2+ years of experience working with Microsoft SQL databases
• 1+ years of experience working with Oracle databases
• Experience working with APIs and ETL tools to extract, transform, and load data to and from disparate data sources
• Implementation experience in cloud computing platforms such as AWS or Azure is highly desirable
• Able to work in a fast-paced, self-directed entrepreneurial environment.
• Exceptional verbal and written skills
• Highly energetic self-starter
• Decision-making, problem resolution and creative thinking skills
• Able to multi-task among shifting priorities
