This is the broad job description of the job profile. Definitive job description should be reviewed and discussed between you and your manager. - Develop and implement data governance policies, procedures, and standards. - Ensure alignment with regulatory, compliance, and audit requirements. - Work with Data Stewards and Data Owners to operationalize governance processes. - Collaborate with stakeholders (example business users, IT, data owners, and stewards) to identify and prioritize data governance initiatives and embed data governance practices. - Define and monitor data quality rules, metrics, and KPIs for critical datasets. - Conduct data quality assessments and develop remediation plans. - Coordinate periodic data profiling and attestation exercises with business units. - Develop and maintain data governance metrics and prepare dashboards, reports, and documentation for management reviews, governance forums, and regulatory audits. - Maintain comprehensive documentation of data governance processes, issues, and decisions. - Conduct training and support to stakeholders on data governance policies and procedures and awareness programs. - Act as the primary communication point for governance-related updates and escalations. - Support processes for data classification, cataloging, lineage, retention, and metadata management. Who you are - A degree in Computer Science, Information Technology, or a related field - At least 3 years of experience in data governance, data management, or a related field - Strong analytical and problem-solving skills - Excellent communication and interpersonal skills - Ability to work collaboratively with various stakeholders - Knowledge of data governance frameworks and best practices - Proficiency in Excel, PowerPoint; experience with Power BI or analytics tools is a plus.
