About the position The Data Integrity/Coder Support Specialist position at LifeBridge Health involves providing coding support for the coding team, assisting the Coding Manager with daily activities, and ensuring the accuracy and integrity of medical coding and data. This role is essential for maintaining workflow, monitoring coding queues, and ensuring compliance with coding guidelines and conventions. Responsibilities • Review medical records to determine appropriate diagnoses/procedures and assign ICD-10-CM and CPT codes and modifiers. • Monitor DNFB Waiting for Coding Reports and Coding Queues to ensure established coding turnaround times are met. • Identify and resolve queries using various reports and queues. • Review and correct data fields impacting data accuracy for quality and reimbursement purposes. • Provide coding backup for various outpatient coding duties. • Assist the Outpatient Coding Manager with various duties as requested. • Communicate relevant information to co-workers and management regarding the coding area or department. Requirements • Formal working knowledge equivalent to an Associate's degree (2 years college). • 3-5 years of experience in medical coding or a related field. • Must hold at least one of the following certifications: RHIA, RHIT, CCS, CPC.
