Whether you work directly with patients or support those who do, you are making a difference and that matters. **Job Summary** As a Data Entry Technician - Therapeutic Support Specialist, you will play a vital role in supporting our rehabilitation team by providing administrative assistance, preparing therapy areas, and transporting patients as needed. You will work under the direct supervision of a licensed physical or occupational therapist and will be responsible for maintaining a clean, safe, and organized environment. This is an exciting opportunity to join a dynamic team and contribute to the delivery of exceptional patient care. **Key Responsibilities** * Prepare therapy areas and patients for treatments, including ordering supplies and linen as needed * Transport patients to/from department or room via wheelchair or stretcher, as directed by professional staff * Maintain all equipment and environment to ensure they are clean, operable, and safe * Perform isolation techniques as outlined in Infection Control policy * Assist with generalized office and front desk procedures * Prepare and maintain work area for treatment, including orienting and mentoring new staff as needed * Remain knowledgeable on current federal, state, and local laws, accreditation standards, and regulatory agency requirements that apply to the assigned area of responsibility * Comply with the blithequark Compliance & Privacy Program and Standards of Conduct, including the immediate reporting of any known or suspected unethical or questionable behaviors or conduct **Essential Qualifications** * Five years of relevant experience in a healthcare setting, or pursuing an education in PT/OT or PTA/COTA program may be substituted in lieu of experience * Strong computer skills and dexterity required for data entry and retrieval of required job information * Proficiency with Windows-style applications, keyboard, and various software packages specific to role * Ability to work in a fast-paced environment and prioritize multiple tasks and responsibilities * Excellent communication and interpersonal skills, with the ability to work effectively with patients, staff, and other healthcare professionals **Preferred Qualifications** * Previous experience in a rehabilitation or therapy setting * Knowledge of current federal, state, and local laws, accreditation standards, and regulatory agency requirements that apply to the assigned area of responsibility * Certification in CPR and First Aid * Bilingual or multilingual skills **Skills and Competencies** * Strong attention to detail and organizational skills * Ability to work independently and as part of a team * Excellent communication and interpersonal skills * Ability to maintain confidentiality and handle sensitive information * Strong problem-solving and critical thinking skills * Ability to adapt to changing priorities and deadlines **Career Growth Opportunities and Learning Benefits** At blithequark, we are committed to the growth and development of our employees.
