Data Entry Specialist (Online) – Laboratory Express Location: Remote (U.S.-based) Company: Laboratory Express Compensation: Competitive hourly wage Schedule: Full-time, Monday–Friday, 8:00 AM–6:00 PM ET Key Responsibilities • Data Entry: Accurately input patient information, test orders, and laboratory results into the Laboratory Information System (LIS). • Data Verification: Ensure the accuracy and completeness of entered data by cross-referencing with source documents. • Document Management: Scan, digitize, and organize medical documents and laboratory reports for electronic storage. • Reporting: Generate and maintain reports related to data entry activities and assist in data extraction for analysis. • Compliance: Adhere to HIPAA privacy regulations and data security protocols to maintain confidentiality. • Collaboration: Coordinate with healthcare providers and laboratory staff regarding electronic records requests and data discrepancies. Requirements • Education: High school diploma or equivalent required; Associate degree in Health Information Management or related field preferred. • Experience: Minimum 1-2 years of experience in data entry or administrative roles; experience in healthcare or laboratory settings is a plus. • Technical Skills: Proficiency in Microsoft Office Suite (Excel, Word, Outlook); experience with LIS or Electronic Health Records (EHR) systems is advantageous. • Attention to Detail: Strong attention to detail and accuracy in data entry tasks. • Communication: Excellent written and verbal communication skills. • Remote Work Setup: Access to a dedicated professional home office space free from distractions; high-speed internet connection (minimum 50 Mbps recommended).
