Data Entry Specialist

The Data Entry Specialist plays a critical role in business operations for Florida Public Media by ensuring all underwriting messages air properly on each station, communicating status reports for other FPM staff, troubleshooting unresolved issues involving paid and unpaid spots, and periodically helping with other business office functions. The Data Entry Specialist works in a timely and... efficient manner to accurately evaluate volumes of detailed data.

Responsibilities:

Essential Functions:

The Data Entry Specialist will:

· Accurately enter data of weekly/monthly affidavits, verifying that all spots aired properly per station based on the duration, media type, cost, and date/time slot.

· Timey communicate weekly/monthly status reports to appropriate FPM Staff for follow-up.

· Generate weekly/monthly reminders to request affidavits for billing verification.

· Efficiently track receipt of affidavits and file in the affidavits monthly folder.

· Report monthly to FPM Staff, the status of the verification of the prior month’s billing.

· Research prior month(s) performance oddities and/or billing issues.

· Pull billing reports for reconciled affidavit

· Create invoices in Quick Books

Duties and Responsibilities:

In addition, the above functions, the Data Entry Specialist will:

· Work collegially in a team-based environment

· Adapt flexible work processes to meet demands of the work week

· Display customer-friendly service to all stakeholders

Qualifications:

The Data Entry Specialist must be able to:

· Accurately evaluate and input volumes of detailed data.

· Communicate effectively in written and oral forms.

· Use a computer and computer keyboard.

· Learn and operate traditional software and specialty broadcasting software.

· Work in dynamic, deadline-driven business environment.

· Work effectively and efficiently with minimal supervision.

· Work various hours including some nights, weekends, or holidays.

Required Qualifications:

· Two years equivalent, relevant, work experience.

Desired Qualifications:

· Experience in broadcasting sales or traffic operations.

· Experience in data entry.

· Use various business and broadcasting software.

· Communicate effectively with staff, stations, and clients.

· Maintain professional relationships with stakeholders.

Employee Expectations:

Must be able to work in a constantly changing environment with demonstrated ability to communicate appropriately and juggle and prioritize multiple, competing tasks and demands while seeking supervisory assistance as appropriate.

This is a remote position.

Physical Demands:

The employee is regularly required to use hands; talk and hear; read a computer screen and use a computer keyboard.
