What You'll Do:

Ā Organize and manage incoming faxed prescriptions, patient documentation, billing information, and clarifications.
Ā Investigate clinical documents and prescription details to ensure everything is complete and accurate.
Ā Prioritize prescription entries based on urgency and criticality.
Ā Data Entry:
Ā Accurately enter prescriptions into our pharmacy database, double-checking all details.
Ā Collaborate with pharmacists to get approvals for processed prescriptions.
Ā Database Management:
Ā Keep the pharmacy database up-to-date and ensure all tasks are wrapped up by the day's end.
Ā Monitor the system to ensure all queues are functioning correctly.
Ā Quality Assurance:
Ā Regularly review entered data, spot discrepancies, and correct them.
Ā Implement best practices to improve data accuracy and integrity.
Ā Team Collaboration:
Ā Work closely with pharmacists and healthcare professionals to resolve prescription-related issues.
Ā Support other departments when needed, contributing to overall data entry tasks.
What We're Looking For:
Ā A high school diploma or equivalent.
Ā Certification as a pharmacy technician.
Ā At least 2 years of experience as a pharmacy technician, preferably with data entry or in a retail setting.
Ā Strong proficiency in pharmacy math (35 WPM).
Ā Familiarity with pharmaceutical terminology and prescription processes.
Ā Experience using pharmacy database systems and software.
Ā Exceptional organizational and multitasking skills.
Ā Sharp attention to detail and excellent analytical abilities.
