Job Overview

We are seeking a dedicated and detail-oriented Pharmacy Technician to join our esteemed team in Pittsburgh, PA. In this vital role, you will ensure the accurate and efficient processing of prescriptions, positively impacting patient care and access to essential medications.

Key Responsibilities
• Accurately input electronic, faxed, and verbal prescriptions into our system.
• Manage communications with healthcare providers in a professional manner, including handling voicemails and calls.
• Resolve issues raised by various departments, including pharmacists and fellow technicians.
• Conduct all tasks in compliance with safety regulations and company policies.
• Undertake additional responsibilities as needed within the Pharmacy Technician capacity.

Required Skills
• Minimum of 6 months of experience as a Pharmacy Technician or in a related role.
• Professional and courteous phone communication skills.
• Exceptional attention to detail and commitment to accuracy.
• Strong technical skills and the ability to quickly learn new software applications.
• Proficiency in basic pharmacy calculations.

Qualifications
• A high school diploma or equivalent is required.
• Certification as a Pharmacy Technician is preferred but not mandatory.
