As a Data Entry Clerk / Administrative Assistant, you will play a crucial role in ensuring the accuracy and integrity of our data by reviewing source documents, identifying discrepancies, and performing data entry tasks with precision. About This Opportunity This is a 5-month contract with the possibility of extension, offering a unique chance to work with a dynamic team at blithequark in Concord, NH. The ideal candidate will have a strong background in data review and entry, with experience working with documents such as blueprints and permits being a significant plus. This role is not for the faint of heart; it requires a proactive individual who is not afraid to seek out answers and communicate effectively with the team and vendors. Key Responsibilities Review source documents for accuracy and completeness before data entry, flagging any discrepancies or unclear information. Perform data entry tasks using keyboards or scanners, ensuring accuracy and attention to detail. Verify data against source documents to detect errors, and correct or report them as necessary. Maintain organized records and store completed documents in designated locations. Utilize database user interface software to download and import data from the web. Coordinate with vendors to schedule pick-ups and drop-offs, demonstrating effective communication and time management skills. Continuously seek opportunities to improve processes, adding quality and value while eliminating unnecessary steps. Prepare and maintain logs of activities and completed work, showcasing organizational skills. Essential Qualifications To succeed in this role, you must have: A minimum of 3 years of experience in data review and entry, with a proven track record of accuracy. Experience compiling, coding, categorizing, and verifying information or data. Proficient communication skills, with the ability to effectively convey information to supervisors, colleagues, and vendors through various channels. At least 2 years of experience running database queries and searches, particularly with Microsoft Access. Strong Microsoft Office skills, including Word, Excel, and Outlook, with a minimum of 3 years of experience. Familiarity with internet browsers such as Microsoft Edge, Google Chrome, and Firefox. The ability to lift a full banker's box (approximately 35 pounds). Strong logical reasoning skills to analyze problems and identify effective solutions. Preferred Qualifications While not mandatory, the following skills and experiences will make you a more competitive candidate: Experience reviewing data and documents related to blueprints and/or permits. Proficiency in Adobe Acrobat Professional, with skills in converting Word to PDF, binding multiple PDFs, redacting text, and highlighting.
