Data Engineering Manager Responsibilities:
? Drive the vision for Business Intelligence (BI) and Data Warehousing across a product vertical, and define and execute on a plan to achieve that vision.
? Define the processes needed to achieve operational excellence in all areas, including project management and system reliability.
? Build a high quality BI and Data Warehousing team and design the team to scale.
? Build cross-functional relationships with Data Scientists, Product Managers and Software Engineers to understand data needs and deliver on those needs.
? Coordinate data warehouse plans across a product vertical.
? Drive the design, building, and launching of new data models and data pipelines in production.
? Oversee development of data resources and support new product launches.
? Drive data quality across the product vertical and related business areas.
? Oversee the delivery of high impact dashboards and data visualizations.
? Define and manage SLA's for all data sets and processes running in production.
? Telecommute from anywhere in the U.S permitted.

? Requires a Master's degree (foreign degree equivalent accepted) in Computer Science, Engineering, Applied Sciences, Mathematics, Statistics, Physics or related field, and 4 years of work experience in job offered or in a data analytics or data warehousing-related occupation.
? Requires 24 months of experience in the following:
? * ETL (Extract, Transform, Load)
? * Data modeling
? * Relational databases (SQL or PL*SQL)
? * Python, Perl, XQuery, JavaScript or Java
? * Hadoop, Hive, MapReduce, or MPI
? * Linux or Unix
? * Shell scripting and performance tuning.

$304,043/year to $325,270/year + bonus + equity + benefits
