Data Engineer with Azure Synapse & SQL (Ex Microsoft Candidates Only)

Job Title: Data Engineer Azure Synapse & SQL Location: Remote Engagement: C2C Experience: Microsoft project experience required No OPT/CPT Job Description We are seeking an experienced Data Engineer with strong expertise in Azure Synapse Analytics and SQL to support data engineering initiatives on Microsoft-based projects. The ideal candidate will have hands-on experience designing, building, and optimizing data pipelines and analytical solutions within the Azure ecosystem. Key Responsibilities • Design, develop, and maintain scalable data pipelines using Azure Synapse Analytics • Develop and optimize complex SQL queries, stored procedures, and views • Integrate data from multiple sources using Azure data services • Ensure data quality, performance tuning, and query optimization • Collaborate with data analysts, BI teams, and stakeholders to support reporting and analytics needs • Implement best practices for data modeling, ETL/ELT processes, and data governance • Troubleshoot and resolve data-related issues in production environments Required Skills & Experience • Strong experience as a Data Engineer • Hands-on expertise with Azure Synapse Analytics • Advanced SQL skills (query optimization, performance tuning) • Experience working on Microsoft projects / Microsoft client environments (mandatory) • Solid understanding of data warehousing concepts and ETL/ELT frameworks • Experience with Azure data services (ADF, ADLS, Azure SQL, etc.) • Ability to work independently in a remote C2C engagement Nice to Have • Experience with Power BI or other Microsoft BI tools • Exposure to big data technologies within Azure • Prior experience in enterprise-scale data platforms Apply tot his job
