Data Engineer Role Description: EDO (Data Governance Tools) (2 positions) Support Semarchy (xDM) MUST HAVES Tech Skills 1) SQL Strong SQL skills are essential for data modeling and querying 2) ETL Tools Familiarity with tools like Talend, Informatica, or Semarchy xDI 3) APIsWeb Services For integrating Semarchy with other systems NICE TO Haves Cloud Infrastructure Experience with cloud platforms (Azure, AWS) and containerization (DockerKubernetes) is a plus CICD Pipelines (GitHub Actions, Code Pipeline) Linux experience Python Knowledge of APIs 1. Master Data Management (MDM) Concepts Understanding of data domains (e.g., customer, product, supplier) Data governance, stewardship, and lifecycle management Data quality, matching, merging, and survivorship rules 2. Semarchy xDM Platform Knowledge Installation and configuration of Semarchy xDM Data modeling and application design Match and merge rules, workflows, and dashboards Integration with source systems (ETLELT pipelines) Security (user roles, access control) 4. Soft Skills Analytical thinking and problem-solving Documentation and communication 1-2 yrs Experience in data engineering, MDM, or data integration Prior exposure to tools like Informatica, Talend, or other MDM platforms is helpful Willingness to learn Semarchy-specific features and best practices Willingness to learn Anamalo-specific features and best practices (Plus) Willingness to learn Alation-specific features and best practices (Plus) Willingness to learn Manta-specific features and best practices (Plus) As a Software Engineer, you will focus primarily on providing high quality, efficient technology solutions to business partners by crafting new software applications or modifying andor supporting existing packaged or custom-built applications.
