About the position
As a Data Architect at GOBankingRates, you will lead the Data Engineering team in developing and maintaining the Enterprise Data Platform. This role involves translating business requirements into technology solutions, defining data standards, and managing a high-performing data team. You will oversee the architecture strategy, focusing on building scalable data platforms and ensuring optimal performance while implementing security measures and mentoring team members.

Β Design and develop scalable data platforms based on business needs and industry trends.

Requirements
Β A minimum of 8 years of experience in data engineering, focusing on data pipeline development and cloud-based solutions.

Β Bachelor's or master's degree in computer science, Information Technology, Data Science, Engineering, or a related field.
,
Β Proven experience in building and managing high-performing technical teams, including hiring and onboarding talent.
,
Β Experience designing and managing scalable data platforms in a cloud environment, preferably AWS.
,
Β Proficiency in AWS services such as S3, Airflow, DBT, GLUE, and LAMBDA; expert level experience in Snowflake is preferred.

Β Proficient in SQL and at least one programming language (Python, Java, or Scala).

Β Strong understanding of data warehousing concepts, ETL processes, data modeling, data governance, and data quality management.
