Blue Ridge Area Food Bank is a mission-driven nonprofit seeking a Data and Systems Analyst I to join their growing Data and Technology team. The role involves analyzing operational data, maintaining reports and dashboards, and supporting decision-making across departments to enhance operational efficiency and measure impact.ResponsibilitiesAnalyzing program and operational dataMaintaining reports and dashboardsHelping staff access reliable information for decision-makingEnsuring data accuracyDeveloping reporting toolsSupporting systems that track food distribution, inventory management, and program outcomesSkillsBachelor's degree in Data Analytics, Business Analytics, or Business Administration with emphasis on applying data to organizational decision-making; Information Systems & Technology, Accounting, or a related field, or an equivalent combination of education, training, and experience in data analyticsExperience with SQL, Tableau or Power BI, or other data visualization toolsStrong proficiency in Microsoft Excel and experience working with enterprise-level data systems or databasesExperience organizing, analyzing, and interpreting large datasets with attention to detail and accuracyExperience creating reports, dashboards, or data visualizations to communicate insights to non-technical audiencesDemonstrated analytical thinking and problem-solving skillsStrong organizational and time management skills with the ability to manage multiple projects and meet deadlinesExcellent verbal and written communication skillsAbility to collaborate effectively with staff across departmentsMust be legally authorized to work in the United StatesFamiliarity with Python and enterprise systems such as ERP platforms or SalesforceExperience with data reporting for grants, programs, or operational performance metricsExperience working in a nonprofit environmentBenefitsExcellent and affordable health, dental, and vision benefitsGenerous paid time off (including a week between the Christmas and New Year's holidays)Remote/work-from-home option of 1 day per week (4 per month)Company OverviewBlue Ridge Area Food Bank is a non-profit organization that alleviates hunger in central and western Virginia.
